Boat booking - payments
The booking is binding on the club only after at least 50% advance payment is made
The remaining part of the full price must be paid 6 weeks before embarkation.
Payment may be made in cash in our office in Žatec or through a bank transfer to
the club account in Komerřní banka. Please inform us about any payments made by
e-mail or over the phone. The documents certifying the full price payment will have
to be presented upon embarkation.
Booking cancellation
The participant (lessee) may withdraw from the contract at any rime. Contract cancellation must be made in writing.
The cancellation fee is charged from the full price of the lease, i.e. in the amount of:
- 30% more than 12 weeks before embarkation.
- 50% more than 4 weeks before embarkation.
- 100% less than 4 weeks before embarkation.
Should the reserved yacht be unseaworthy at the beginning of the charter, the lessee will be informed
immediately. The club will then ensure an alternative boat or will return the whole paid amount immediately.
A possible difference in prices (if any) for the original and alternative boat (according to the price lists)
will be settled by agreement.
Damage to the boat in the course of the charter
The crew will be held responsible for damage caused to the ship in the course of the charter only up
to the amount of the obligatory bail or the bail insurance Possible damage, if any, will be assessed
according to the local prices. The captain will be fully responsible for sails – they are expected
to be returned in the same condition in which they have been accepted. The lessee will usually have
a possibility to order a new set of sails for an extra fee when taking the boat.
If a club captain is responsible for the boat, possible damage, if any, will be settled within his
contract with the club and will have nothing in common with the crew – unless directly caused by the crew.
The club will not be held responsible for any damage caused to the crew due to any damage caused to the
ship during the charter itself after the boat is taken over.
Change of the crews – embarkation
If the reserved boat cannot return to the home port due to operating reasons (e.g. a strong headwind etc.),
the change of the crews will take place in another place and the club will reimburse the drivers or the
whole crew for local transportation costs from/to the home port, namely at the expenses of the original crew.
Delayed return to the home naval point (by 19.00 o'clock of the previous day) or any delay in leaving the boat
(by 10.00 o'clock ) will make maintenance and changing of the crews complicated and will therefore be subject
to 50EUR sanctions.
Obstacles
If the lessor cannot make the yacht available within 24 hours after the term agreed due to any defect
during the previous voyage or due to any other obstacle, the lessor will be entitled and obliged to provide
the lessee with a similar boat with the same number of cabins or return the fee charged for use to the lessee.
In the case of delayed handing over (more than 4 hours after the term agreed in the contract), the lessee will
be returned a corresponding part of the fee charged for use. The lessee will inform the lessor through the
assistance line.
Neither the lessor nor any agent will be held responsible for any other damage caused to the lessee consequently.
Insurance
The lessor (boat owner) undertakes to enter into the following insurance:
- third-parry liability for damage
- whole casco insurance with participation for a case of damage.
Personal articles are not insured. The insurance company, the lessor or the agent are not responsible for any
injury or damage caused to the lessee or the crew. The lessee and the crew are obliged to conclude a personal
insurance for a trip abroad before the voyage.
Complaints
The lessee should settle any complaint directly in place with a club representative, who should have an opportunity
to remove the defect. Otherwise the lessee will draw up a written complaint to which the club representative attaches
his opinion. The lessee must send this report to the club address within 30 days. Complaints will be settled
immediately after the club management return to the Czech Republic .
